Organizers of Candlelight Jazz appreciate the support of new event sponsors for the 2010 season: Augusta Chronicle & WRDW News 12. We anticipate a fruitful partnership as we present the best in local jazz performances. They join Garden City Jazz, City of Augusta Special Events, and 96.3 KISS FM, in presenting live jazz on Sunday evenings from May through August, and celebrating local jazz musicians and top jazz artists with strong ties to the Garden City. The series showcases different bands and styles of jazz - from swing to bebop to free jazz.
In 2010, organizers will focus more on straight-ahead (classic) jazz, featuring many of the musicians who pioneered the Augusta jazz scene.
